JOHN HEFLIN, LCSW


Mr. Heflin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in the social work/ behavioral health field since 1993. He utilizes a cognitive-behavioral treatment approach known as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which attempts to increase psychological flexibility through the practice of mindfulness, acceptance, values construction, and committed action. His approach can be effective in changing the relationship with unpleasant internal experiences (thoughts, feelings, memories, urges, etc.) and promoting action in the service of valued living. His interests include working with individuals (16y/o- 85+ y/o) struggling with life transitions and obstacles to living a meaningful, purposeful, and engaged life. During his career, he has provided services in both outpatient and inpatient settings treating a broad range of presenting problems including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety and substance abuse. Before moving to Knoxville, he worked as an Addiction Specialist at the Penn State Center for Counseling and Psychological Services.

IRISH HINTON, LPC

Irish Hinton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health Service Provider with over 17 years of experience in the mental health field. Her clinical experience has included both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has treated various behavioral health concerns across the lifespan including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood issues, trauma, grief, life changes, adjustment issues, and stress. She currently provides individual counseling to clients ages 19 and up. Irish will provide a safe, warm, and supportive environment to assist clients on their journey of healing in learning to cope with life’s stressors. HILARY HAVERKAMP, LCSW


Hilary is a licensed clinical social worker with over 13 years experience treating children, adolescents, and families with a variety of behavioral health concerns, in a wide range of settings, and using multiple evidence-based models of treatment. Hilary has been developing her work especially in the areas of adolescents- stress, anxiety, depression, peer issues, family issues, identity questions, as well as maternal mental health- women/couples experiencing infertility, issues that might impact pregnancy, and postpartum disorders. Most of all, Hilary views her work with clients as a privilege to “bear witness” to their experiences, pains, and stories, and to strive towards clients’ goals collaboratively.

MARGARET ANTHONY, LCSW


Ms. Anthony is a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 20 years’ experience in her field.   Her clinical experience has been working with families, adults, adolescents and seniors with mental health and substance abuse issues.  She works with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, life changes and job and school related stress.    Her therapeutic approach is a cognitive behavioral approach.

JOHN MCCLURE, PhD


John McClure is a Clinical Psychologist who has been licensed to practice in Tennessee for over 25 years.  He received his training in the clinical psychology program at the University of Mississippi and the clinical internship consortium program of the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (Memphis), and the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. He has extensive experience in neurocognitive rehabilitation (the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center) and in the private practice of psychology. His primary treatment methods are cognitive-behavioral with an emphasis on Mindfulness Based Cognitive therapy.

SEANNA JONES, LPC

Seanna Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee and Georgia. She received her M.S.,Ed. In Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 2010. Seanna has experience in the community mental health, employee assistance program, private practice and domestic violence shelter settings working with individuals ages 6+. She works with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, phase of life changes and job-related stressors. Seanna’s therapeutic approach can incorporate cognitive behavioral, Internal Family Systems, short-term solution-focused, play and art interventions. Sascha Smith is a licensed professional counselor that has been working in the mental health field for over 6 years with adolescents, children, and families. Sascha has worked in-patient severe trauma treatment centers for youth in foster care, community mental health centers, community based in-home family therapy centers, and adolescent alcohol and drug abuse treatment facilities, Sascha treats children and teenagers with a variety of behavioral health concerns using multiple evidence-based models of treatment. Sascha also believes in using a customized, non-judgmental, and strength-based approach for children, adolescents, and families to enhance long-term success.

NICOLE SHEPHERD, LPC

Nicole Shepherd is a licensed professional counselor who works to cultivate a warm and goal focused relationship with her clients. Nicole has been working as a therapist in a variety of residential and outpatient settings since 2012, serving those who have struggled with severe and persistent mental health needs. DR. JANA ARWOOD

Dr. Jana Arwood was born and raised in Texas, then Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She graduated from Quillen College of Medicine East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee with a Medical degree. She received her post-graduate training in General Psychiatry from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Arwood has practiced General Psychiatry in the greater Knoxville area since 1988.

JENNIFER PHILLIPS, PMHNP

Jennifer is a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in all ages but especially passionate for children and adolescents with all diagnoses including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, PTSD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Substance Abuse Disorders, etc. Jennifer graduated from the University of South Alabama in December 2011 and has practiced as an Advanced Practice nurse for 9 years. She has worked in community mental health, intensive outpatient for adults and children, inpatient psychiatric hospital, and private practice. She has been in nursing for 17 years. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family.

HANNAH BRADEN, PMHNP

Hannah Braden is a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She obtained a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2015 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2018. She has experience in caring for patients across the lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management to patients 18 years and older. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and attention deficit disorder. She is passionate about reducing the stigma of mental health treatment and making her patients feel heard and supported. Hannah’s goals are to provide hope to patients in managing mental illness and to assist patients in regaining control of their mental well-being.

LEAH HUTCHISON, PMHNP

Leah Hutchison is an ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Leah received her Associates degree in Nursing in 2002 and received a Master of Science in Nursing from Southern Adventist University in 2020. Leah has experience in treating mental illness across the lifespan and currently sees clients ages 18 and over. Her practice focus includes substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. She has experience working in a variety of settings including women’s health, rural community mental health clinics, and crisis services. Jamie is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received a Master of Science in Nursing from East TN State University in 2010 and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She has worked in a variety of nursing roles with over 10 years in Community Health. Jamie provides evaluation and medication management for children and adults. She places a priority on patient engagement to provide the most comprehensive care.

Deborah Rowlands is a licensed professional counselor and a certified rehabilitation counselor in practice since December of 2000.
